2. Keep Giving What God Gave You

4. A Rough Start Doesn’t Mean a Rough Finish
This message is one that may particularly resonate with people fighting cancer. Roberts says in this video, “You may have had a rough start, but you don’t have to have a rough finish. Don’t keep dwelling on the negatives…you may be going through a rough spot right now, but better is coming.”
“You’re not defined by your past, you’re prepared by your past.”

5. Don’t Just Go Through it Grow Through It
And in a final message that people battling cancer will connect with, Roberts says to grow through our struggles. “Sometimes we look at the painful times in our lives when we’re undergoing medical treatment and we think: ‘This can’t be part of God’s plan.’ You have to trust: God doesn’t make any mistakes. He didn’t promise there wouldn’t be any pain or suffering or disappointment. But he did promise that it would all work out for our good.”
Roberts says what you do in your times of suffering matters. “You will get through it, and you will be different. You can come out bitter, or you can come out better.”
