How are you spending time at home during coronavirus? If you’re Rita Wilson, apparently it involves collaborating with iconic 90’s hip-hop trio Naughty By Nature and raising money for Covid-19 relief.
In an effort to make fans smile, actress and breast cancer survivor Rita Wilson, 63, shared an Instagram video of her and Naughty By Nature’s “Hip Hop Hooray” remix, and she gave quite the performance. According to Wilson’s post, she initially learned the song while in the cast of 2019 film Boy Genius.

Wilson was diagnosed with stage zero breast cancer in 2015, which is a non-invasive early cancer that is very treatable. To prevent the cancer from possibly spreading, she underwent a bilateral mastectomy a surgical procedure that removes both breasts. Since, she’s been cancer-free.
However, Wilson’s health risks didn’t stop there. During a trip to Australia, Wilson announced that she and her husband Tom Hanks had tested positive for coronavirus, and were self-quarantined while being examined by medical workers. Well, that didn’t stop Wilson from trying to make the most out of a bad situation. In addition to practicing “Hip Hop Hooray,” the actress also shared her phone number with fans so she could pass the time during quarantine.
