Dr. Kristina Butler, a gynecologic oncologist at the Mayo Clinic Arizona, said that it’s a good idea to have your tumor markers re-evaluated, imaging of the abdomen, pelvis, and chest updated, and a full physical exam to evaluate for any other abnormalities.
An ultrasound can provide an up-close look at structures in the pelvis, like the ovaries and the uterus, or structures in the abdomen, like the liver or the spleen, depending on what type of ultrasound a person is given.
