Like a lot of people, Eileen Moran thought that a cancer diagnosis was a death sentence – that was until she got her first diagnosis. Eileen was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer in 2015. She had a recurrence in 2017, at which point her cancer was considered stage 2b. Eileen has a really refreshing outlook on facing cancer, and she’s certainly not letting the disease get in the way of living her life. She’s been to Iceland, been sky-diving in Hawaii, and she plans to stay as active as possible no matter what cancer may throw at her.
“It was as if I was surfing, I don’t know what wave is coming next, but I’m just gonna try to get my balance and try to ride this thing,” Eilleen says. “You know … paddle, paddle, paddle, and then stand when I can.”
