The iconic actress and breast cancer survivor is rocking out in a video featuring Katy Perry, Amy Schumer, Shaq, Orlando Bloom, and Kerry Washington. The video was released by Fonda to encourage people to "exercise" their right to vote this November.

In 2010, Fonda had a breast cancer scare after doctors discovered that she had a tumor. Following the discovery, she had a procedure and was later diagnosed as "cancer-free." And in 2016, Fonda had a double mastectomy before the Golden Globes. Little is known about what led to her decision for the mastectomy, but it was possibly a preventative measure, given her history of cancer.Fonda also lost her brother, Peter Fonda, to cancer. We all remember Peter fondly for his roles in films like Easy Rider and The Wild Angels. He died in 2019 of lung cancer.
Following her own diagnosis and decisive actions, and, later, mourning the loss of her brother, Fonda has remained prolific in her life's output. She is a climate change activist, she wrote a book, she continues to kill it on the small screen with hits like Grace and Frankie on Netflix, alongside Lily Tomlin, and she even posed as a magazine cover girl at age 82 for Elle magazine earlier this year.

Despite health setbacks and tragic family losses, Fonda continues to use her platform to make the world a better place.
Breast Cancer Risk Factors
While we don't know the specifics of Fonda's health background, we do know that there are some factors that increase the risk of breast cancer. For instance, women like Fonda, who are older are at a greater risk.

- Risk of breast cancer increases the older you get, so it's important to be vigilant about screenings.
