The Baldwins hit up the polls this Super Tuesday to cast their ballots together, Billy Baldwin shared to Instagram. This is an exciting time for he and wife Chynna Phillips’ teen son, Vance, as it’s the first time the cancer survivor is old enough to vote.
“Voted today with Chynna, Jameson & Vance. First time we voted with my kids!!,” Baldwin shared in his Instagram caption. He went on to explain that he voted to Elizabeth Warren, but didn’t share who his wife or kids voted for in the Democratic Primary.

“Proud of my kids voting today. Never missed a vote since I turned 18 years old,” Baldwin added at the end of his post.
Vance’s Cancer Journey
The Baldwins went public with Vance’s cancer diagnosis in October 2019. At that time, Baldwin shared a heartwarming post, praising his son for his bravery in the face of adversity. The actor, known for his roles in Backdraft and Sliver, and for his famous family, didn’t disclose what type of cancer his then 17-year-old son had been diagnosed with, but did say that after a year of treatment, the teen was cancer-free.

“A year ago today my son Vance was diagnosed with cancer … he was 16 years old,” the 57-year-old actor wrote in an Instagram post at the time. “He kept is very quiet … we all did. He went through 28 rounds of chemo yet stayed VERY positive, focused and kept his life as normal as possible … every single day. Kid’s a tough son of a bitch. Sharp as a tack. Funny as hell. Tough as nails. Heart of gold.”
Baldwin and his wife Phillips, who is a member of the music group Wilson Phillips and rose to fame in the early 1990s, have been sharing regular updates about their close-knit family in the months since Vance completed his cancer battle.
Vance is now a senior in high school and his famous parents have been documenting their journey as he hits all his high school milestones — from attending his winter formal, to senior night on the basketball court, and now — his first time voting in a presidential primary.
Vance’s cancer battle has been something of an inspiration to some of his family’s famous friends as well. Baldwin took to Instagram to share that his buddy, Sylvester Stallone, recently sent a touching note about Vance after learning that the teen had answered "Rocky" when prompted to name his favorite film in a college application.
"That moves me … [It was] a simple movie about will, determination and heart," Stallone wrote, "like the hellish journey your son triumphed over life, fighting like a REAL LIFE ROCKY, getting knocked down over and over, but refusing to ever stay down!"
"Always keep punching, Kid," Stallone signed off.
