Take Control of Your Health
Bongino is taking the right approach in removing the lump, because even if it’s not a health concern, taking control of your health is very important. After all, you know your body better than anyone, and if you feel like something is wrong it’s essential you bring it up to your doctor.
Unfortunately, men often shy away from reporting any symptoms that could lead to health issues including cancer. Unlike women, who may visit the doctor with concerns and be brushed off, men may try to come up with reasons as to why there is something wrong which will stop them from visiting a physician.

This was the case for Todd Rosenbluth, who convinced himself that his healthy lifestyle meant he never needed to visit the doctor. “I worked out constantly, I ate great,” Todd tells SurvivorNet. “I did my share of drinking, and I thought I’d just be fine.”
However, it was Todd’s wife that convinced him he needed to get checked out. It’s a good thing he did, because he was diagnosed with testicular cancer and thankfully it was caught early enough to successfully treat. The experience made Todd realize that brushing off symptoms can have deadly consequences, and now he makes his routine check ups a priority.
“Testicular cancer is 99% curable if it’s caught early enough,” Todd says. “The only way to catch it is self exam or go to the doctor. If you’re worried don’t be ashamed, guys. Go to the doctor.”
